Psychoeducational Group Disclaimer
Educational Purpose
This group is a structured psychoeducational program designed to provide information, skill-building, and guided discussion related to relational recovery, betrayal trauma, and/or compulsive sexual behavior. It is educational in nature and does not constitute psychotherapy, mental health treatment, or individualized clinical care.
Participation in this group does not establish a therapist–client relationship.
Not Individual Therapy
This group does not include:
Diagnosis or treatment of mental health disorders
Trauma processing (including EMDR or other clinical modalities)
Individualized assessment or treatment planning
Crisis stabilization or emergency intervention
Participants seeking individualized therapy are encouraged to pursue services with a licensed mental health provider in their state.
Appropriate Level of Care
This group is not appropriate for individuals experiencing:
Active suicidal ideation
Ongoing domestic violence or unsafe living environments
Severe untreated mental health symptoms
Active substance or behavioral addiction without external support
Acute relational crisis requiring immediate intervention
Participants are responsible for ensuring this level of care is appropriate for them.
Confidentiality & Group Limits
Confidentiality is expected and strongly encouraged; however, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed in a group setting. By participating, members agree to respect the privacy of other participants and not disclose identifying information outside the group.
No Emergency Services
This group does not provide emergency services. If you are in crisis, contact 911 or your local emergency provider.
Personal Responsibility
Participants are responsible for their own emotional regulation, participation, and application of material discussed. This group provides education and structure; implementation remains the responsibility of each participant.
This group is designed for motivated individuals who are stable enough to participate in structured learning and discussion without requiring individualized therapeutic intervention.
